Burkhard Mast-Weisz

Burkhard Mast-Weisz (born August 20, 1956 in Bielefeld ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and since June 2014 Lord Mayor of Remscheid in the Bergisches Land .

Life

In the runoff election on June 15, 2014, he prevailed against his opponent Jochen Siegfried from the CDU with 57.5 percent. Before that he held the office of city director. He thus succeeded Beate Wilding . She ended her term prematurely after nine years due to health problems.

Mast-Weisz was head of Wuppertal's youth and leisure department from 1995 to 2001 before moving to Remscheid as head of social affairs. He still has his residence in Wuppertal- Vohwinkel today .
