Ludwig Kraft (born October 16, 1900 in Düsseldorf , † October 20, 1991 in Remscheid ) was a German politician (NSDAP).

Ludwig Kraft was born in 1900 as the son of the plumber Ludwig Friedrich Wilhelm Kraft and his wife Henriette Josephine Christine, née Nähle. After attending primary school in Düsseldorf, he was trained as a banker. From 1915 to 1921 he was employed in this profession at the Barmer Bankverein in Düsseldorf, interrupted by a six-month participation in World War I in Reserve Infantry Regiment No. 53 from May to November 1918.

From 1921, Kraft worked - interrupted by a six-month activity at the Falk Bankhaus in 1922 - at the coal trading company "Bergkohle" in Düsseldorf, a subsidiary of the Rheinisch-Westfälischer Kohlensyndikat in Essen. In 1924, Kraft became an authorized signatory at the Gebrüder Dietrich AG brewery in Düsseldorf. On July 22, 1926, Kraft married Helene Louven (born September 2, 1900 in Karlsruhe, † April 7, 2001 in Remscheid).

On October 1, 1928, Kraft became a member of the NSDAP . In 1929 he took over his first functionary post when he was Gau treasurer in the Gau Düsseldorf .

From March 1933 to April 1938 Kraft was a member of the Reichstag as a member of constituency 22 (Düsseldorf East). From 1937 to 1945, Kraft also served as Lord Mayor of Remscheid. Since April 1945 he was detained in a British internment camp. After his release he worked as an insurance salesman in Remscheid, where he died in 1991.
