Otto Nollau

Otto Nollau (born September 12, 1862 in Gnesen , † April 8, 1922 in Dresden ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a privy councilor and district administrator, Nollau studied law , economics and political science in Berlin , Leipzig and Bonn . During his studies he became a member of the Alemannia Bonn fraternity . After his exams in 1886 and 1892, he became head of the financial department of the royal government in Cologne in 1895 and legal assistant in Remscheid in 1898. From 1899 to 1910 he was mayor and from 1902 mayor of Remscheid. He then went into government service as a government councilor and became director of various insurance offices and senior government director in Düsseldorf. Until 1918 he worked as a councilor and director of the Upper Insurance Office in Hildesheim , then from 1918 to 1920 as Upper Government Councilor and Director at Danziger and from 1920 to 1922 at the Düsseldorf Upper Insurance Office.
