Calpine BV was a Dutch manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Utrecht in 1979 . In 1983 production ended after only a few vehicles had been manufactured.

The only model was a kit car . The body was similar to the Matra Djet and offered space for 2 + 2 people. The uncut chassis from the VW Beetle with the four - cylinder boxer engine was used.
