Camouflage (alternatively: Camouflage - everything just camouflage ) is an American crime comedy from 2001 . Directed by James Keach and written by Billy Bob Thornton and Tom Epperson .

action

The unsuccessful actor Marty Mackenzie wants to become a private detective. When he met the private investigator Jack Potter, he got his first case from him. The shadow of an unfaithful wife leads him to the small town of Beaver Ridge, which is teeming with quirky characters.

Mackenzie witnesses the murder of a certain Danny Harkness, who works for Lionel Pond, who owns a gravel pit, while under surveillance. With his summoned boss he discovers that someone wants to take over Ponds company. They meet his secretary Cindy Davies, with whom Mackenzie starts an affair.

During their investigation they have to endure numerous adventures and attacks on their lives. They find several suspects, one of whom they ultimately hunt down as the alleged murderer. As they're on the drive back to Los Angeles, it dawns on Potter that things weren't what they seemed to be after all. They return and can expose Cindy Davies as the real culprit. In the background she had been pulling her strings the whole time and wrapping several men for her own purposes.

Reviews

“A decent crime thriller with comedic expansions, which does not fully exhaust its potential due to the almost compulsive tendency to ironize the films of the" Black Series ". After all, it proves that the 77-year-old leading actor can do more than just play the slapstick in the series "The Naked Cannon". "

"Camouflage is an entertaining crime comedy starring comedian Leslie Nielsen in a prime role."
