Campofranco is a town in the Free Community Consortium Caltanissetta in the region of Sicily in Italy with 2854 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

Location and dates

Campofranco is 58 km west of Caltanissetta . The residents mainly work in agriculture. In addition, gypsum , concrete and bitumen are produced in small businesses .

Campofranco is on the Agrigento – Palermo railway line .

The community was founded in 1573. In 1812 the community became independent.
