Resuttano is a municipality in Caltanissetta consortium of municipalities outside the region Sicily in Italy with 1,862 inhabitants (December 31, 2019).

Location and dates

Resuttano is 38 km north of Caltanissetta as an enclave in the metropolitan city of Palermo . The residents mainly work in agriculture. There are cereals , almonds , olives and Gewürzsumach grown.

The neighboring communities are Alimena ( PA ), Blufi (PA), Bompietro (PA), Petralia Sottana (PA) and Santa Caterina Villarmosa .

history

There were settlements called Rahal Sultan in the area as early as Arab times . The current place was founded in 1625.
