Candelaria is a town in the Beni department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Candelaria is the most populous place in the canton of Cavinas in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Reyes in the province of Ballivián . Candelaria is located about 160 m above sea level on the right, eastern bank of the Río Beni , four kilometers upstream from the mouth of the Río Madidi .

Candelaria is located in the Bolivian part of the Amazon basin north of the country's mountain ranges in a year-round humid climate.
The mean average temperature of the region is 26 ° C (see climate diagram Rurrenabaque) and fluctuates only slightly between 23 ° C in June and July and a good 27 ° C from October to December. The annual precipitation is almost 2000 mm, with a pronounced rainy season from December to March with 200-300 mm monthly precipitation and the lowest monthly values just under 100 mm from July to September.

Candelaria is located 711 kilometers west of Trinidad , the capital of the department.
The largely unpaved road Ruta 3 runs from Trinidad for 281 kilometers west to Yucumo . From there, Ruta 8 leads north via Rurrenabaque , Reyes and Comunidad Australia to Riberalta and Guayaramerin on the Brazilian border.
After 360 kilometers, a dirt road branches off to the north six kilometers before Comunidad Australia and continues for another 70 kilometers to Candelaria .
