For her film Look here and see the grace of my hands , she received a Federal Film Prize in gold in 1981 for the best young directors. In 1985 she made a sequel to this film, CVs in a Silent World . She also made two films about women in resistance, Für Doris Maase (1981) and women in resistance . She was also an employee of the series Frauengeschichten in Bayerischer Rundfunk.
Carin Braun's last work was about the late effects of the Vietnam War , especially among children, in the 1986 film Old Bamboo Trees Should Love Their Offspring .
