Carl-Heinz Kliemann

Carl-Heinz Kliemann (born June 8, 1924 in Berlin ; † April 12, 2016 there ) was a German painter , graphic artist and collage artist .

Life

From 1945 to 1947 Kliemann was a student of Max Kaus , from 1947 of Karl Schmidt-Rottluff . In 1966 he was appointed to the chair for painting and graphics at the TH Karlsruhe , where he taught for 12 years. From 1983 to 2000 he worked in his studio in Graefelfing near Munich, after which he moved his studio to Berlin.

His main focus was landscapes and portraits. Carl-Heinz Kliemann was a member of the German Association of Artists .

Carl-Heinz Kliemann died on April 12, 2016 at the age of 91 in Berlin. The burial took place on April 25, 2016 at the state-owned cemetery Heerstraße in Berlin-Westend .
