Carl Heinrich Fabian Graf von Reichenbach (born November 12, 1778 in Loslau ; † May 8, 1820 in Opole ) was a Prussian administrative lawyer and district president of Opole (1816-1820).

Life

origin

Carl Heinrich Fabian Graf von Reichenbach came from the old Silesian noble family Reichenbach , which, under Prussian rule in Silesia , had gained great importance as a registrar and rich property from 1742 . His father of the same name, Carl Heinrich Fabian (1746–1828), was Rittmeister in the royal Prussian regiment Gensdarmes (French: gens d'armes ), legionary councilor and heir to Zessel and Buselwitz in the Oels district . His mother was Ulrike Louise Elisabeth (1752–1783) Countess von Burghauss .

Career

His schooling began in Liegnitz and from 1792 he was at the educational center in Halle an der Saale . He studied law at the University in Frankfurt an der Oder . From 1798 he was an auscultator at the Berlin City Court. After further work stations he worked from 1809 as a government director in Breslau . From 1813 he was Vice President of the Wroclaw Governorate and in 1816 he was appointed Governor of Opole. He held the post until his death in 1820.
