Robert Eduard von Hagemeister (born June 22, 1827 at Gut Klausdorf , Franzburg district , Western Pomerania , † April 29, 1902 ibid) was a German administrative lawyer and politician.

Life

Hagemeister's parents were Gustav Adolf Hagemeister (1796–1875) and Wilhelmine Hedwig Elisabeth born. Hass (around 1805-1883). He studied law at the Friedrichs-Universität Halle and the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1846 he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Halle and the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . He passed the auscultation exam on August 19, 1848 and came to the court in Greifswald . As a trainee lawyer he was from May 27, 1851 at the district court of Berlin . Four years later he was appointed court assessor at the district court of Naumburg (Saale) .

He switched from the administration of justice to the internal administration of the Kingdom of Prussia . In 1856 he became district administrator in his native Franzburg district . After three years as a senior councilor and representative of the government president in Stralsund , he became Landdrost in Aurich in 1869 . After the founding of the German Empire , he was appointed regional president in the Opole administrative region in 1871 . In the same position he came to the Düsseldorf administrative district in 1877 . From 1883 to 1889 he was finally President of the Province of Westphalia . He was retired on May 19, 1889.

Hagemeister sat in the Prussian House of Representatives from 1866 until his resignation on November 9, 1866 as a member of the constituency Stralsund 1 . From 1867 to 1871 Hagemeister was a member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation as a member of the Stralsund constituency . There he joined the faction of the Free Conservative Association .
