Georg Oehlrich

Georg Heinrich Eduard Oehlrich (born January 22, 1792 in Hanover ; † December 28, 1870 there ) was a Hanoverian politician and administrative officer.

Life

Georg Oehlrich was born in Hanover as the son of Hofrat Joh. Georg Heinrich Oehlrich. His brother Bartold August Wilhelm Oehlrich was the mayor of Harsefeld and a bailiff . He studied law in Heidelberg and Göttingen. During his time in Göttingen he became a member of the Corps Hannovera .

In 1819 he became treasurer and general secretary of the second chamber of the state assembly of the Kingdom of Hanover and, according to a letter from the later interior minister Johann Carl Bertram Stüve , he had performed this office excellently. Politically, he is a "mild opponent of the government". In 1831 Oehlrich was appointed Landdrost von Ostfriesland in Aurich . 1838 Oehlrich, while retaining his title and rank as well as his previous salary as a bailiff for Nienburg added. He was a Knight of the Guelph Order .

He married Marianne Wilhelmine Albrecht on June 15, 1817 (March 3, 1797 - March 13, 1869).
