Ernst Holtz

Ernst Holtz (born July 27, 1854 in Renz on Rügen , † July 25, 1935 in Potsdam ) was a Prussian administrative lawyer . In the province of Silesia he was district administrator and district president .

Life

Ernst Holtz studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Royal University of Greifswald . In 1873 he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Heidelberg and the Corps Pomerania Greifswald . In 1876 he passed the trainee examination. In the administrative service since 1879, he was a trainee lawyer at the governments in Stralsund and Stettin . From 1883 worked as an assessor for the government in Opole , he was elected district administrator in the district of Katowice in 1884 . From 1886 he was also a member of the Provincial Parliament . In 1897 he was appointed senior councilor and deputy government president in Stettin. In 1898 he was appointed as a laborer in the Prussian Ministry of the Interior. There he was later appointed to the lecturing council .

In 1900 he became President of the Government of Opole. In 1907 he returned to the Prussian Ministry of the Interior as Undersecretary of State . In 1914 he became President of the Prussian Chamber of Accounts and the Court of Accounts of the German Reich .
