Carl Rex , also Carl von Rex (born April 1, 1660 in Kreischau ; † June 9, 1716 in Dresden ) was a royal Polish and electoral Saxon Privy Councilor , supreme court master of Queen Christiane Eberhardine , wife of August the Strong and Electress of Saxony, as well as the Saxon-Weißenfels senior tax collector and deputy judge in Leipzig as well as heir, feudal lord and court lord in Pobles .

Live and act

Rex came from the family of the Lords of Rex and was the son of Wolf and Maria von Rex. His first marriage was to Catharina Elisabeth von Muschwitz. Their son was Johann Caspar von Rex , who became an assessor for the upper office government in the Markgraftum Niederlausitz and later there was a secret council and upper office district president.

The second wife of Carl Rex was Christiana Elisabeth geb. von Neitschütz (1680–1739). His sons included Carl August von Rex and the later Lieutenant General Friedrich Wilhelm von Rex . His sons also included Georg Abraham von Rex (* 1698 in Lobstädt) and Christian Gottlob von Rex (* 1702 in Pobles). Carl Rex is considered the progenitor of the count's line of his noble family.

In 1695, Carl Rex owned half of the Pobles manor, which had already been owned by the family in the late Middle Ages. In 1698 he was already Princely Saxon Privy Councilor and Chamber Director at Weißenfels and, in addition to Pobles, also sat in Kreischau and Schalkendorf. At that time he was also assessor at the Leipzig Higher Court Court and director of the estates in Merseburg Abbey . In 1711, Carl Rex united both parts of the Pobles manor in one hand by purchasing them.
