Carl August David Friedrich Ulrich von Behr-Negendank (born June 24, 1791 in Semlow ; † September 12, 1827 there ) was a German landowner and politician.

biography

Carl von Behr-Negendank was a member of the Rügen tribe of the von Behr family . His father was the government councilor Heinrich Ludwig Dethlef von Behr-Negendank. After attending the Carolineum Neustrelitz grammar school , he began studying in Jena in 1811 . He was friends with the teacher and rector of the Ratzeburg Cathedral School Ulrich Becker (1791–1843). Both were members of the Landsmannschaft Vandalia Jena , from which the Urburschenschaft emerged in 1815 . From 1813 to 1815 he took part in the Lützow Freikorps in the Wars of Liberation . Together with Heinrich Kurt Stever he wrote an appeal to our compatriots! From 1816 to 1819 Behr-Negendank was a trainee lawyer in the state government of Mecklenburg and an auditor in the Neustrelitz law firm . After his marriage to Sophie von Maltzahn in 1819, he ran his estate in Semlow in the Prussian province of Pomerania . He commissioned Friedrich Wilhelm Buttel with the construction of the Semlow mansion and had the manor park redesigned.

By buying additional pertinances, he increased the property considerably, his son Ulrich , who was also a Prussian politician, expanded the scope of the property (see there).

In 1822 he became a Prussian chamberlain and in 1823 a member of the municipal council. He took part in the 1st Provincial Parliament of the Province of Pomerania in 1824 as a representative for Prince Wilhelm Malte I of Putbus, and was a member of the 2nd Provincial Parliament in 1827.
