Carlos Jara Saguier (born November 1, 1950 in Asunción ) is a former Paraguayan football player and current coach . The midfielder won the championship title twice in Paraguay and Mexico .
Life
Jara Saguier began his professional career in 1968 with his hometown club Club Cerro Porteño , with whom he became Paraguayan football champion in 1970 and 1972 . In 1975 he moved to the Mexican league , where he played for the next eight years for the capital club CD Cruz Azul , with whom he won the Mexican football championship twice in the 1978/79 and 1979/80 seasons . In 1983 he returned to his homeland, where he was initially under contract with Cerro Porteño and then ended his active career in the service of the General Caballero Sport Club .
Between 1971 and 1981 Jara Saguier completed a total of 24 international appearances in which he scored two goals.
After finishing his active career, Jara began a career as a coach. His greatest achievement in this role was winning the silver medal with the Paraguay team at the 2004 Olympic football tournament .
