Carman (Manitoba)

Carman is a small agricultural town with a population of about 2,900 and is located in southern Manitoba , Canada .

geography

Carman is about 60 km north of the American state of North Dakota and about 80 km southwest of Winnipeg , the capital of Manitoba. The city is located in the middle of an agricultural prairie belt surrounded by the municipality of Dufferin.

Culture

Several art events take place in Carman, such as the Carman Fiddle Festival (German: Geigenfest) - once known as the Winston Simpson Fiddle Festival, which takes place every August.
