Caroline Sunshine (born September 5, 1995 in Atlanta , Georgia ) is an American actress . She gained fame from 2010 through the role of Tinka Hessenheffer in the Disney series Shake It Up - Tanzen ist alles . She has been a press assistant at the White House in Washington, DC since the end of March 2018

Life

Sunshine currently resides in Orange County , California with her father Thom, mother Karen, and their two younger brothers. Sunshine loves dancing , traveling , baking and outdoor activities like surfing , snorkeling and rafting . She supports the Joyful Sewing Organization , the Working Wardrobes , the Adoptahero.org program and the Loaves and Fishes Ministry, which provides food for the homeless .

Career

Sunshine attended ballet classes at the age of 3 . In kindergarten, she got her first lead role as Goldilocks in the play Goldilocks and the Three Bears , later she starred in the Orange County Children's Theater and took dance lessons at the South Coast Performing Arts studio in Tustin , California .

In 2006, when Sunshine was 11 years old, she went to her first real audition for a commercial. She got roles in commercials like Amazing Allysen , Yoplait Go-Gurt, and Cap'n Crunch . In 2010 Sunshine got the role of Lizzie Spitz in the pilot episode of the CBS sitcom Team Spitz , in which Rob Riggle should also play as her father. In the same year she gained greater fame for her role as Barbara Winslow in the film Marmaduke . From 2010 Sunshine starred in the Disney Channel Original Series Shake It Up - Dancing is everything . She took on the role of the European exchange student Tinka Hessenheffer , alongside Kenton Duty, who played her conspicuous twin brother Gunther . For the second and third seasons, her role was expanded from a minor to a leading role. Along with the rest of the main cast, it was in 2011 and 2012 at the Young Artist Awards in the category in a television series Outstanding Cast nominated.
