Cascades is one of 13 regions into which the West African state of Burkina Faso is administratively divided. The capital is Banfora . The region in the southwest comprises the provinces of Comoé and Léraba and borders the Hauts-Bassins region in the north, Sud-Ouest in the east and Mali and the Ivory Coast in the south .

542,956 inhabitants (2006 census), who belong to a large number of ethnic groups, live on an area of ​​18,663 km². Cascades was created in 2001 and is the most industrialized region in the country after Center and Hauts-Bassins .
