Cenk Özkacar (born October 6, 2000 in Konak ) is a Turkish soccer player who has been under contract with Olympique Lyon since August 2020 . He is also a young Turkish national player.

Career

Özkacar is an athletic, dynamic, faster and 1.90 m high defensive player with thoughtful playmaking opening , more than he plays Linksfüßler primarily in the central defense and secondarily it can also function as left -back act.

Özkacar was born in Konak , a municipality and at the same time a district of the western Turkish city ​​of Izmir . Here he started in 2011 with club football in the Izmir youth clubs of Bucaspor , Altınordu Izmir and Altay İzmir . In June 2018 Özkacar received a professional contract with the latter club. As a result, he was awarded to the Turkish professional fourth division club Karacabey Belediyespor in the 2018/19 season after Karacabey , and Özkacar gained practice there in 24 competitive appearances, consisting of league, cup and playoff games. In the following season he returned to his professional club Altay and made his debut in December 2019 at the age of 19 in the second highest Turkish league fund ( TFF 1st Lig ), after which Özkacar was used more regularly. Özkacar decided against staying in Turkey in August 2020 and switched to the French first division club Olympique Lyon . Özkacar began his national team career at the age of 19 in the northern hemisphere autumn of 2019 with two appearances for the Turkish U21 national team in qualifying for the U21 European Championship in 2021 .
