The red grape variety Cesanese d'Affile is an autochthonous variety of the Lazio region in Italy. It is part of the Cesanese family. Their cultivation is recommended in the provinces of Frosinone , Rieti and Viterbo as well as the metropolitan city of Rome . Its cultivation is mainly concentrated around the municipalities of Affile , Piglio and Olevano Romano . In 1999 a planted vineyard area of ​​1,309 hectares was raised.

The late ripening variety produces ruby ​​red, tannin-rich red wines . They are included in the DOCG - wine Cesanese del Piglio and in the DOC - wines Cesanese di Affile and Cesanese di Olevano Romano . Cesanese d'Affile is a variety of the noble grapevine (Vitis vinifera) .
