The Changan CS15 is the smallest sport utility vehicle of the Chinese automaker Changan Automobile brand Changan .

The first generation of the series was presented in November 2015 at the Guangzhou Auto Show . It has been on sale in China since March 2016. An electric version went on sale in China at the end of 2017.

The CS15 is also offered with a combustion engine in some Latin American countries (e.g. Costa Rica or Chile ).

Technical specifications

The CS15 is powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 79 kW (107 hp). It has a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, a 5-speed dual clutch gearbox is available at an additional cost . Four-wheel drive is not available.

The CS15EV, available since October 2017, is driven by a 55 kW (75 PS) electric motor. The electric range is given by Changan as 300 km.

In March 2019, the second generation of the SUV was launched on the Chinese market. Initially, only one variant with the 1.5-liter petrol engine familiar from the previous model is available. The electric version based on the first generation will continue to be offered for the time being. In addition, the second generation with electric drive has also been available since December 2019. The electric range is given by Changan as 401 km.

Exclusively in the second half of 2019 was the Changan Oshan Kosai 3, an almost identical variant of the CS15.
