The Changan Eado is a car model of the Chinese car manufacturer Chongqing Changan Automobile Company of the Changan brand built since 2012 .

The vehicle made its debut as the C201 concept vehicle at the Beijing Auto Show 2010. Changan showed the series vehicle at the 2011 International Motor Show in Frankfurt am Main . The delivery of the sedan started on March 27, 2012. At the Shanghai Auto Show 2013, a hatchback version, the Eado XT , was presented. This came on the market on August 28, 2013. From March 9, 2015, the sedan was also offered with a 90 kW (122 hp) electric motor . The vehicle is not offered on the German market. A version with hybrid drive has been available since the end of 2016 . In 2017, a sporty version called the Eado XT RS was presented based on the hatchback version XT. A plug-in hybrid version was also introduced in October 2017 .
The SUV Changan CS35 is based on the Eado.
The drive in the non-electrified variants is taken over by a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with a maximum output of 83 kW (113 PS) or a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with direct injection and turbocharging in the XT RS with a maximum output of 125 kW (170 PS). In addition to a 5-speed manual transmission , a 4-speed automatic transmission is also available. Only a 7-speed dual clutch transmission is available in the XT RS .

The second generation of the Eado was presented in January 2018. It is also offered again as a sedan and hatchback variant. The first generation of the Eado will continue to be offered for the time being.
The electric version EV460 based on the sedan was presented at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2018. It has been available in China since mid-October 2018. In May 2019 it was also launched as a hatchback. Changan gives the range as 430 km. The electric version based on the previous model was discontinued with the introduction of the EV460.
