For the first time was a Halfpipewettbewerb in freestyle skiing men in the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi part of the Olympic program. The competition took place on February 18, 2014.

The American David Wise became the first gold medalist in this discipline. The silver medal went to the Canadian Mike Riddle and bronze went to Kévin Rolland from France.
