Charazani is a town in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Charazani is the central place of the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Charazani and the seat of the administration of the province of Bautista Saavedra . The village is located on a mountain spur at an altitude of 3203 m between the Cordillera Muñecas in the south and the Cordillera Apolobamba in the north on one of the tributaries of the Río Mapiri , which drains to the Río Beni .

Charazani is located in the east of the Bolivian Altiplano on the edge of the Cordillera Central . The climate of the region is a typical time of day climate , in which the mean temperature fluctuations during the day are more pronounced than in the course of the seasons.

From there, Ruta 16 continues as an unpaved road further north and reaches Charazani after 87 kilometers .

Due to the historical population distribution, the region has a significant proportion of Quechua population, in the municipality of Chaquí 87.4 percent of the population speak the Quechua language.
