Mark Goddard
Mark Goddard (born July 24, 1936 in Lowell , Massachusetts ; actually Charles Goddard ) is an American actor .
Life
Goddard dropped out of college to study acting in Manhattan at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts . He then moved to Los Angeles to work as an actor in Hollywood . He quickly received a first guest role in the television series Johnny Ringo . The following year he received one of the leading roles in No Case for FBI alongside Robert Taylor , who he played in 65 episodes until 1962. In the following years he had other guest roles in series such as West of Santa Fé , Smoking Colts and The People of Shiloh Ranch .
In 1964, he received a leading role in Many Happy Returns , but only one season was produced. He was then given a leading role in the series Disappearance Between Foreign Worlds , which was produced between 1965 and 1968, and through which he became known nationwide in the United States. In the 1970s and 1980s, Goddard played other guest roles on series such as Quincy , A Colt Just In Case, and Jake and McCabe - Through Thick and Thin . Between 1984 and 1986 he played in the soap opera General Hospital , he had other recurring roles in the soap operas Love, Lies, Passion and The Doctors .
Between 1977 and 1978 he played on Broadway in 233 performances of the musical The Act, directed by Martin Scorsese , alongside Liza Minnelli and Barry Nelson . In 1998 he made a cameo in the remake of Lost in Space , in which he played the supervisor of Major Don West , his role at the time.
Goddard is third married and has two children. Decades after dropping out, he made up his college degree with a Masters of Education and then worked as a teacher at a school in Massachusetts.
