Sir Henry Charles "Budget" Loyd , GCVO , KCB , DSO , MC , DL (born February 21, 1891 in Belgravia , City of Westminster , † November 11, 1973 in Mettingham , Suffolk ) was a British general in the British Army , the last was in command of the London Military District between 1944 and 1947.

Officer training, First and Second World War

Henry Charles "Budget" Loyd, son of Edward Henry Loyd, began officer training at the Royal Military College Sandhurst after attending the renowned Eton College, which was founded in 1440 . On March 9, 1942, Charles Loyd was appointed General Officer Commanding in Chief Southern Command and held this post until February 17, 1944. From this marriage the daughter Lavinia Gertrude Georgiana Loyd and the son Sir Julian St. John Loyd emerged, who between 1964 and 1961 was the administrator of Sandringham House , a country estate of Queen Elizabeth II.
