Charles Frederick Theodore Snelling (born September 17, 1937 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a former Canadian figure skater who started in a single run .

The greatest success of the six-time Canadian champion was winning the bronze medal at the 1957 World Championships in Colorado Springs behind the Americans David Jenkins and Tim Brown . At the Olympic Games in 1956 he was eighth. In 1958 he retired from sports to study medicine at the University of Toronto . After graduating, he came back in 1964, was again Canadian champion and took part in the 1964 Olympic Games and two other world championships.

Snelling worked as a plastic surgeon , from 1970 to 1977 in Winnipeg and then in Vancouver .
