Charles cousin
Charles Vetter (born May 1, 1858 in Kahlstädt near Schneidemühl, today Węglewo, in the then Chodziesen (Kolmar) district, Province of Posen , † 1936 in Munich ) was a German draftsman and painter of impressionism .
Life
Vetter grew up in East Prussia . From 1881 he studied at the Royal Academy in Munich . After the drawing class with Alexander Strähuber , he went to the nature class with Alois Gabl and later with Johann Caspar Herterich and Franz von Seitz . In 1889 he exhibited the painting A Church Procession in the Munich Glass Palace . He was a co-founder of the Munich Secession . Charles Vetter was a painter of impressionist big city scenes.
