Charlie Telfer (born July 4, 1995 in Carluke ) is a Scottish football player .

Career

Charlie Telfer, who was born in Carluke , began his career with the Glasgow Rangers when he was eight . During this time he attended Bell College in Hamilton, about 20 km southeast of Glasgow . In April 2014, 19-year-old Telfer made his professional debut in the Rangers jersey against FC Stenhousemuir when he came on for Dean Shiels . Until the end of the season , Telfer, who played in midfield, was not used again under team manager Ally McCoist . After his first professional season with his youth club, for which he was active for eleven years, he left it. He moved to league rivals Dundee United despite an ongoing contract in Glasgow . This meant that his new club had to make additional payments. Telfer made his debut for Dundee on matchday 1 of the Scottish Premiership 2014/15 in the New Firm against FC Aberdeen . In November of the same year Telfer scored his first professional goal in the game against FC St. Mirren . He was also voted Young Professional of the Month in Scotland's top division in November 2014 . Under Jackie McNamara , he had 22 games and four goals in the 2014/15 season. Without playing in the Scottish League Cup final, the Arabs lost 2-0 to Celtic Glasgow in March 2015 .

National team

Charlie Telfer played within the Scottish junior teams from 2011. About the Scottish U-17 for whom he was able to score a goal in six games, he was used five times in the U-19 from 2013 to 2014 . In March 2015 Telfer made his U-21 debut against Hungary .
