Chasbulat Askar-Saryja

Chasbulat Nuchbekowitsch Askar-Sarydscha ( Russian Хасбулат Нухбекович Аскар-Сарыджа ; * 1900 in Akhty ; † 1982 in Moscow ) was a Lesgian - Russian sculptor .

Life

Askar-Saryja grew up in a large family, in which the father in particular encouraged the children's creative abilities. Askar-Saryja graduated from the music school in Armavir and then studied at the Moscow Conservatory in the piano class . He arranged folk melodies and performed in concerts . In 1919, together with M.-A. Dschemal took part in Yevgeny Yevgenyevich Lanseres drawing courses in Temir- khan -Shura . In 1922 he met the sculptor Jacob Nikoladze know what Askar Sarydscha 1923 to study at the sculpture - Faculty of the Leningrad Artistic-Technical Institute Higher at Alexander Matveyev Terentievich began. In 1927 he completed his studies so successfully that he was sent to Italy to study further soon after . There he studied the monuments of classical European art and worked in the workshop of the Bulgarian sculptor N. Nikolayev. After his return in 1928 he was involved in the erection of monumental monuments in Dagestan and gave drawing lessons in schools. He became the director of the Dagestani Regional Museum. In 1937 he settled in Moscow .

There is an Askar Saryja bust on the facade of the children's art school in Akhty .
