Chemograph
Chemigrapher , or chemigrapher (literally: scribe / draftsman / painter who uses chemistry; see photographer: Licht-Schreiber), is a specialist occupation in the graphic arts that has died out since 1998 . The job description was integrated into the training occupation media designer for digital and print media . The original name of the apprenticeship was cliché etcher , but the work of the chemigrapher originally also included the work of the post-cutter and the proofer .
- Chemographers who only produced non-screened clichés were called line etchers ,
- however, etcher were pictures ( screened halftone - templates ) as Autotypie etchers referred.
The task of Chemigrafen consisted by the reproduction photographer movies delivered or color separations for multicolor printing photographic technology to prepared zinc - copper - or magnesium to transfer plates and out of them not herauszuätzen to print parts. The end product was called a cliché, which was used as a printing block in the relief printing process.
