Chip Hanna (* 1965 in Baton Rouge , Louisiana ) is an American alternative country - singer-songwriter , also known as punk rock - drummer learned recognition.

Life

Chip Hanna's musical interest was sparked by his mother, who sang at country festivals. At the age of 22 he began his career as a drummer, from 1997 to 2000 with US Bombs , then with One Man Army .

As a country musician he recorded the two solo albums Punk Goes Country and Haggard & Cashed Out in his own production in the early 2000s, followed by The Old Country in 2006 , which was distributed by Rockstar Records in 2007 . On The Old Country he was supported musically by Gary Kotula on double bass , Jayson James on violin and guitarist Jimmy Moore. In addition to further solo recordings with well-known record labels, he also appeared for several years as a singer with the band Busted Heart under the name Chip Hanna with Busted Heart . In this formation a single and an album were created.

Chip Hanna, who has his main residence in Phoenix (Arizona), has also lived and worked in Berlin for several years . There he founded the successful band formation Chip Hanna & The Berlin Three together with the Mad Sin musicians Valle, Andy Laaf and Tex Morton . When the band performs live, the singer-songwriter also repeatedly plays solo tracks.
