Chris Boettcher (born April 11, 1964 in Ingolstadt ) is a German radio presenter and comedian .

Life

Boettcher was born as the son of a master brewer. He experienced early musical influences from his father, who was known beyond the city limits as the singing master brewer . He gained his first stage experience in the school theater and was later a musical dancer and singer, as well as an extra at the Ingolstädter Stadttheater . After graduating from high school in 1984, he founded his first band with Slip 33 . In the same year he was the second winner of the year at Thomas Gottschalk's Entdeck-Eck on the radio wave Bayern 3 and in the ignition radio demo competition on Bayern 2 .

In 1986 he began studying English and German studies, which he broke off after six semesters. At the same time he gained his first radio experience with the private broadcaster Radio IN . In 1989 he switched to the Munich local broadcaster Radio Xanadu as an editor , where he became the presenter of the Talk Radio program under program director Thomas Gottschalk . In 1994 he joined the national broadcaster Antenne Bayern as a presenter and comedy writer . He has been with Bayerischer Rundfunk since 1999 .

In addition to his radio activity, Boettcher developed his musical and comedic talent. In 1993, his debut single was released under the title Ganz Egal and he was 2nd winner of the national competition XENOS 93 - songs against xenophobia with his own composition One Heart, One Soul . In 1999, Chris Boettchers Liederwahnsinn was his first album, which he also went on tour with. At Antenne Bayern he started out as a singing early bird who woke the listeners in their bedroom in the morning, with good ratings as a comedian. It was only later that he discovered his ability to parody prominent contemporaries . After the defeat of Bayern Munich in the Champions League final against Manchester United in May 1999, the parody Lothar & Franz (i.e. Lothar Matthäus and Franz Beckenbauer ) was created, which has been broadcast regularly on Bayern 3's program since 2000 . In a modification of the theme, further comedy series emerged such as Chris Boettcher's unbelievable football task force or Fränglisch with Loddar . As the decoy of the ARD program Do you understand fun? , in which he had already acted as a decoy in the 90s, he showed his versatility. In 2009, in the run-up to the Oktoberfest, the single 10 Meter Geh 'was released , a parody of the casting show Germany's Next Top Model , with which he made it into the German music charts. The song came back into the hit parade in January 2010 in a High German version by Markus Becker and Almklausi .

For the soccer world championship 2010 he brought out the single Högschde Discipline (Jogi Jogi Joo) as a parody of the national soccer coach Joachim Löw and appeared on the match days on ARD disguised as Löw with parodic short articles in Waldi's World Cup club.

Chris Boettcher has been live with his programs Spieltrieb and s'Beste since 2011 . He performed his program at Circus Krone , Munich, in November 2011 and November 2014. A best of was recorded under the title Highlights from Bavarian TV on June 5, 2013 in the Wirtshaus im Schlachthof , Munich. B. sent on New Years Eve 2014.
