Christian Friedrich Feldmann (architect)
Christian Friedrich Feldmann (* 1706 in Berlin ; † October 23, 1765 there ) was a Prussian architect .
Life
He learned from Philipp Gerlach in Potsdam , worked according to his plans in the construction of the garrison church in Potsdam, in particular around 1735 with the design of the pulpit and the crypt, as well as in the expansion of Friedrichstadt in Berlin. He then oversaw the construction of the palace in Rheinsberg , first under Johann Gottfried Kemmeter and then under Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff , whose teacher he is said to have been from 1734 to 1737. In 1738 he joined the Prussian civil service as an agricultural inspector. In 1740, after the fire in Rheinsberg, he took over the execution of the new town complex planned by Knobelsdorff. In 1746 he became war and domain councilor, Kurmärkischer Oberbaudirektor in Berlin, 1757 building council at the building court.

- 1751–1753 Palais Donner Berlin-Mitte , Am Festungsgraben 1 (1851–1863 converted to the Ministry of Finance according to plans by Hermann von der Hude and Heinrich Bürde)
- 1756–1758 Phöben village church
- 1756–1758 work house on Contre-Escarpe (later Alexanderstraße) in Berlin; Execution by Christian August Naumann (demolished in 1882 for the construction of the police headquarters)
- 1758–1760 renovation of Monbijou Castle , Berlin-Mitte (destroyed)
- 1759 Renewal of the arcades on Mühlendamm , Berlin-Mitte, after the fire of 1759 (destroyed in another fire in 1838)
