Christian Paschold (* 1949 in Graefenthal ) is a German sculptor .

Life

From 1963 to 1967 Paschold trained as a porcelain modeler in Graefenthal. He then studied theater sculpture from 1968 to 1971 at the Dresden University of Fine Arts . From 1971 to 1980 he worked as a theater sculptor at the Erfurt Municipal Theaters and at the German National Theater in Weimar . He has been working as a freelancer since 1980.

From 1979 to 1986 he had a teaching position in "plastic design" at the Museum for Pre- and Early History of Thuringia in Weimar . He was a founding member of the “Breaking the Wall” cultural association. Paschold lives and works in Tiefthal near Erfurt.
