Christiane Dénes
Christiane Dénes (born January 6, 1951 in Aachen ) is a German musician , writer and visual artist .
Live and act
After finishing school, Christiane Dénes studied piano and flute at the Aachen Department of the University of Music and Dance in Cologne , graduating in 1979 as a piano teacher and in 1981 as a concert flutist. From 1980 she appeared as a soloist in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and France.
As early as 1979, Dénes received a teaching position for flute at the city music school in Aachen, which she continues to this day. In addition, from 1984 to 2008 she worked as a teacher at the Aachen department of the Cologne University of Music.
In addition to her concert and teaching activities, Dénes devoted herself to her literary work from the mid-1980s and she initially published lyric works and short stories in German and Swiss literary magazines and in various anthologies , including in “Am Ortsende der Zauberer” (1988), “ Hollywood am Mauergässchen ” (1989), “ Parecutin ” (1993) or in the “ Langenberger Texten ” (2000). From 1999 onwards she has written a theater play, a radio play and three novels.
In the meantime, from 1989, Christiane Dénes expanded her artistic work to include the field of fine arts . A large number of paintings, installations , slides and video films, as well as sound images with the flute solo, which she presents as part of a performance on various public cultural events , have been created to this day . In addition, Dénes has been represented with her works at numerous solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad since 1990. Since 2011 she has been a member of the Federal Association of Visual Artists (BBK).
In 2017 Christiane Dénes opened the Atelier Rad'art in Aachen together with her husband, the French artist Damien Ledoux .
