Christie Albert Macaluso (born June 12, 1945 in Hartford , Connecticut , USA ) is an American clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Hartford .

Life

Christie Albert Macaluso studied at St. Mary's Seminary in Baltimore and Trinity College in Hartford. On May 21, 1971, he received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Hartford through Archbishop John Francis Whealon .

After further studies, he earned a master's degree in psychology from New York University . In addition, he studied various languages ​​and musical subjects such as violin, piano, organ, composition and conducting. In addition to activities in pastoral care, he was a philosophy lecturer at the St. Thomas Seminary , of which he became academic dean in 1980. From 1985 to 1991 Macaluso was Regens of the seminary and president of the affiliated college. From 1991 until his appointment as auxiliary bishop he was cathedral pastor at St. Joseph's Cathedral . In 1995 the Pope awarded him the title of Papal Honorary Prelate . At the same time appointed him Archbishop Daniel Anthony Cronin to the Episcopal Vicar for Hartford.
