Christin Elizabeth Cooper (born October 8, 1959 in Los Angeles , California ) is a former American ski racer and one of the most successful in her country.

She won her first World Cup points in the 1976/77 season with 10th place on January 26th at the slalom in Crans-Montana , 9th place on January 28th in the slalom of Saint-Gervais-les-Bains and on February 27th with rank 10 in the giant slalom in Furano , before she achieved a remarkable 5th place in the slalom in Bad Gastein on January 19, 1978 , which she repeated on January 24, 1978 in Berchtesgaden . Her specialties were the slalom and the giant slalom . Her first podium was her second place in the slalom of Crans-Montana on January 21, 1981.
But she also showed her class on various occasions in the downhill : Two sixth places in 1982 in Saalbach-Hinterglemm (AUT) and 1984 in Verbier (SUI) were the best results in this discipline.

Cooper was also successful during the 1982 World Ski Championships in Schladming (AUT) and at the 1984 Olympic Games in Sarajevo . On these two occasions she won a total of three silver medals and one bronze medal, where she was considered a favorite for the technical competitions in Sarajevo and was beaten by her teammate Debbie Armstrong . In 1984, Cooper ended her career.
