Christina Zachariadou ( Greek Ελένη Δανιηλίδου ; born August 28, 1974 in Athens ) is a former Greek tennis player .

Career

Zachariadou won three singles and ten doubles titles in the ITF Women's Circuit during her career .

Her only main field participation in a WTA tournament was at the Family Circle Cup 2004 in Charleston at the side of Eleni Daniilidou . They lost their first round match against Maureen Drake / Marlene Weingärtner 6: 7 and 2: 6.

For her country of birth, she took part in the Summer Olympics in 1992 in Barcelona , 1996 in Atlanta and 2004 in Athens in doubles. She was eliminated in the first round.

In 1997 she won the gold medal at the Mediterranean Games in doubles. In the final she triumphed alongside Christína Papadáki against Tathiana Garbin / Maria Paola Zavagli .

Between 1990 and 2004 she played for the Greek Fed Cup team , for which she won 26 of their 53 games.

Their home club is the Athens Lawn Tennis Club . Today she is a tennis instructor in Athens.
