Svetlana Kriventschewa ( Bulgarian Светлана Кривенчева , English transcription Svetlana Krivencheva ; born December 30, 1973 in Plovdiv ) is a former Bulgarian tennis player .

Career

Krivencheva, who preferred her game on hard courts, began playing tennis at the age of eight.

She won two singles and 21 doubles titles in the ITF Women's Circuit during her career . On the WTA Tour she was first seen in the main field at the German Open 1996 , together with Tatjana Ječmenica in doubles, where she lost her first round match against Ruxandra Dragomir / Ann Wunderlich with 2: 6 and 3: 6.

Between 1998 and 2004 she played for the Bulgarian Fed Cup team , where she was twice victorious in six matches in doubles.
