Early years and activity in Württemberg

Beulwitz came from the Schwarzburg - Rudolstadt line of the old, widespread Thuringian noble family Beulwitz . He was the son of Gottfried Christian von Beulwitz († 1726) and Catharina Magdalena geb. von Reitzenstein (1656 - approx. 1720). After studying, probably from 1712 to 1715 at the University of Jena , Beulwitz first went to the court of Nassau-Saarbrücken as a cavalier from 1718 to 1719 . He was then from 1720 court master of Count Karl August von Hohenlohe-Kirchberg and from 1727 to 1728 court master of the Duchess Maria Augusta of Württemberg . On March 18, 1729 Beulwitz was appointed councilor of the ducal-Württemberg government and was court master of the Hereditary Prince Karl Eugen until 1732 . In the next few years he was appointed Real President of the Government Council, Fiefdom and Real Privy Councilor . Beulwitz was also a knight of the Order of Saint Hubert and on February 11, 1738 was awarded the second highest Danish order, the Dannebrogden .

Activity in Danish service

In June 1739 Beulwitz moved to Copenhagen and was appointed court master to the Crown Prince, who later became King Frederick V of Denmark. In the same year Beulwitz also received appointments to the conference council and to the deputy of the General, Agricultural and Commerz Collegium. Beulwitz stayed at the Copenhagen court for five years and during this time took part in the church life of the German community. Like the royal family and most of the court, he was a pietist . On July 5, 1743 Beulwitz was appointed bailiff of the Sorø Office on Zealand and the head of the Sorø Monastery and the Sorø Akademi Knight Academy, which was newly founded there in 1740 . On October 1, 1745 he was appointed a privy councilor and on December 10 of the same year alongside Hans von Ahlefeldt as Oberlanddrosten of the counties of Oldenburg and Delmenhorst. On January 7, 1746, he was appointed head of the Blankenburg monastery and the local poor and orphanage. On August 7, 1747, Beulwitz was awarded the Danish Ordre de l'union parfaite . On January 31, 1752, Beulwitz finally replaced Count Rochus Friedrich zu Lynar as bailiff of the Steinburg office and chancellor of the government of the Duchy of Holstein in Glückstadt. In 1756 he was appointed to the Secret Conference Council.
