Christoph Karrasch (journalist)

Christoph Karrasch (born January 20, 1984 as Christoph Pfaff ) is a German travel journalist , television reporter and author .

Career

Christoph Karrasch grew up near Kiel and completed an internship at delta radio after graduating from high school . There he moderated the daily morning program Chris from 2005 to 2010 . Today he still works as a freelancer for the station and produces a. a. the delta radio countdown .

Christoph Karrasch has been a freelance travel journalist since 2011. In recent years he has written reports for various media such as Spiegel Online , Geo Saison and Die Welt . At the same time, he established the video website On the Road as a well-known travel blog . His video Ice Bathing in Finland was nominated for the German Web Video Prize in 2013 . In the same year, a collaboration began with the ARD channel EinsPlus , for which Karrasch regularly reported from his travels in the trend magazine in.puncto via live broadcast .

In 2014 Karrasch realized an interactive travel project with Around the World in Ten Days . His followers determined the route of his fast circumnavigation and gave him tasks for stopovers on every continent. This resulted in the book # 10Tage , which was published by Ullstein Verlag in 2015 . At the end of 2015, the associated documentation was running at N24 .

In 2016 Christoph Karrasch shot the report series Kleine Welt for N24 . The program deals with the small world phenomenon , which says that every person knows every other person in the world from a maximum of six corners. The first episode premiered on Facebook before being shown on linear television .

A special feature is that Karrasch writes and publishes his own title songs for his travel projects . In addition, he landed an Internet success with the song The safest you are in the car . The song is about the storm at the Hurricane Festival 2016 in Scheeßel and was briefly number 1 on the German Viral Top 50 charts on Spotify .

Christoph Karrasch has been a TV reporter for ProSieben magazine Galileo since 2017 .
