Christoph Redecker
Christoph Redecker , also Redeker (born November 10, 1652 in Osnabrück , † January 15, 1704 in Rostock ) was a legal scholar , university professor and mayor of Rostock .
Life
Redecker moved in 1661 to his uncle, Professor Heinrich Rudolph Redeker , in Rostock. In 1666 he was enrolled at the University of Rostock . From 1667 he went to the Gymnasium Stettin , then from 1672 he studied law at the University of Rostock. In 1674 and 1675 he traveled with his uncle, and from 1676 he worked as court master . During this time he traveled to Holland , England and France, among others .
Redecker was in 1682 at the University of Greifswald to Dr. iur. doctorate and then in 1685 full professor of law at the University of Rostock and assessor at the consistory . On February 24, 1693 he was appointed Senator in Rostock, and on March 7 of the same year as Mayor .
