Christopher Ricke

Christopher Ricke (* 1962 ) is a German journalist who has been working as an editor and presenter at Deutschlandfunk Kultur since 2001 .

He studied political science and geography at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt and economics at the Open University of Hagen . He is a graduate of the Academy for New Media in Kulmbach, the Academy for Journalism Hamburg , the Akkadeus Berlin and the Institut Christoph Mahr Berlin .

Career

He did his traineeship at the Donaukurier in Ingolstadt . From 1991 to 1996 he was part of the team of moderators at Bayern 3 am Mittag .

He wrote for the Gong and Focus . He was the editor of Radio Gong 96.3, a local radio station in Munich, Sat.1 in Unterföhring , and worked for Heyne-Verlag Munich. Among other things, he worked for Bayerischer Rundfunk in the programs B5 aktuell, Bayern 3, Bayern 1, and Bavarian television.

Since 2001 he has been an editor and presenter at Deutschlandfunk Kultur . In 2010 Horst Köhler accompanied him to the 2010 Expo in Shanghai . Shortly after take-off in Shanghai, Horst Köhler informed the delegation accompanying him in the Air Force Airbus “Theodor Heuss” via the on-board loudspeaker that the flight route would be changed. In Termez , the Federal President switched to a Transall C-160 and flew to Afghanistan for the first time in his term of office. With his quick visit to the largest German field camp in Mazar-i-Sharif, which was kept secret for security reasons, Köhler strengthened the back of the German soldiers at the Hindukush and thanked them for their commitment. After starting in Termez , Horst Köhler Ricke gave an interview on the tasks of the Bundeswehr, which ultimately led to his resignation. Juan Moreno then portrayed Ricke in Spiegel 23/10 under the title “Rickes Reise”.

On May 6, 2014, he interviewed Mehmet Daimagüler , who represented two families of the victims Abdurrahim Özüdogru and Ismail Yasar from Nuremberg in the NSU trial .

He lectured at the Academy for New Media in Kulmbach, the Academy of the Bavarian Press in Munich and at the ARD.ZDF medienakademie . He is a systemic coach and therapist.

Private

Ricke is Roman Catholic and has three daughters. He lives in Berlin.
