Christ Church (Thalborn)
The listed Evangelical Lutheran Christ Church is in Thalborn , a district of the rural community Am Ettersberg in the Weimarer Land district in Thuringia . The parish Thal Born is part of the parish area Neumark in Kirchenkreis Apolda Buttstaedt the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The massive hall church was built in 1686, as can be seen from a stone plaque next to the portal . It is built from rubble stones , but plastered . The church is covered with a hipped roof, from which the slate roof tower rises in the west , on which a dome sits, which is crowned with a tower ball . The interior has two-story circumferential galleries on Tuscan columns . It is covered with a wooden barrel vault. The organ with eight registers , divided between a manual and a pedal , was built by Adalbert Förtsch in 1867 .
