Admission

In 2002 the EU Commission added Cinidon-ethyl to the list of permitted pesticides. No application was made to extend the approval, which was valid until the end of September 2012, so the EU Commission did not renew it. Approved plant protection products with cinidon-ethyl could be sold until March 31, 2013 and used until the end of March 2014.

In Switzerland, several pesticides with cinidon-ethyl were approved, which could be used against weeds in grain cultivation and to "burn" potato fields before harvest. In the meantime, pesticides with this active ingredient are not approved in Germany, Austria or Switzerland.
