Claire Reigbert

Claire Reigbert , also Cläre Reigbert , (born October 7, 1887 in Kiel , † June 1, 1957 in Munich ) was a German actress , preferably used in folk plays.

Life

Claire Reigbert received her training from the respected acting teacher Friedrich Carl Peppler . In 1914 she began her artistic career, the following year Claire Reigbert came to Berlin for the first time, where she received her first permanent engagement in the capital in 1916 from the Berlin Art Theater touring stage. Over the next 20 years, Claire Reigbert celebrated a number of successes under Max Reinhardt and Victor Barnowsky as well as at the Lessing Theater, the Schauspielhaus, the Theater am Nollendorfplatz, the Theater am Schiffbauerdamm and the Komödienhaus. Her best-known roles under Reinhardt's directorship include Frau Welzel in Die Weber and Frau Weinholz in Two Happy Days in 1921, Jettchen in Club People in 1924 and Frau Pape in Das Ekel in 1926 . Other theater stations included Göttingen , Frankfurt am Main and Düsseldorf , where she played under Louise Dumont .

Claire Reigbert made her film debut as early as 1915, but has only been in front of the camera regularly since the mid-1930s. The chubby, chubby artist was subscribed to happy, motherly types and simple women from the people on stage and in front of the camera. On the screen, she embodied midwives and housekeepers, head nurses and landladies, wives and again and again mothers.

Claire Reigbert has also worked for the radio and as a voice actress.
