Clara Luciani
Clara Luciani (born July 10, 1992 in Martigues ) is a French singer-songwriter .
She has released an EP and a studio album, Sainte-Victoire . She became known with the French rock group La Femme , where she sang on several tracks.
biography
Clara Luciani was born on July 10, 1992 in Martigues, comes from a Corsican family (her grandfather, whom she did not know, was from Ajaccio ) and grew up in Septèmes-les-Vallons , a suburb of Marseille . Before she could make a living from music, she studied art history and did several odd jobs such as pizzaolo, babysitter, clothes seller and English teacher.
In 2011 she met the members of the band La Femme , where she became one of the female voices for a while. She sang two songs from the 2013 album Psycho Tropical Berlin : La Femme and It's Time To Wake Up (2023) . Then she left the band and formed the duo Hologram with Maxime Sokolinski .
In 2015 and 2016 she accompanied the singer Raphaël on stage on his Somnambules tour.
In 2017 their first EP, Monstre d'amour was released . This EP was recorded with Benjamin Lebeau (The Shoes) and Ambroise Willaume ( Revolver ).
On April 6, 2018, Clara Luciani released her first album Sainte-Victoire with influences from Françoise Hardy , Serge Gainsbourg , Nico , Michel Legrand and Paul McCartney .
On January 11, 2019 she was nominated for the Victoires de la Musique in the stage révélation category. She won the award on February 8, 2019. On the same day, a limited new edition of the Sainte Victoire album was released with 4 unreleased tracks, including an adaptation of Qu'est-ce que t'es belle , which was performed in a duo with Philippe Katerine and the title Qu'est-ce que t'es beau appeared.
Stage presence
In summer 2018 Luciani performed at several festivals (Solidays, Days Off, Francofolies ).
